I am a Financial Security Advisor
living in the Ottawa region. Since 2008, I was fortunate to help many families
and business protect their assets, estates, and income.  In
2019 I completed the Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning Studies (EPC) &
in 2022 the Canadian Institute of Certified Executor Advisors (CEA).  These Designations provide me with a much better comprehension of issues that may arise for Elders & Executors.

As a family man with three beautiful
& healthy children living in the suburbs, I can especially relate to young

David's educational background includes attending Ivy League Institution, Cornell University, in upstate New York. While at Cornell, David majored in Applied Economics and Management, maintained a 3.9 GPA, was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and was an Academic and Athletic All-American.

Before entering the financial industry, David played as a professional goaltender for 12 seasons. His last NHL stop was with the NY Rangers in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. Other NHL teams that David played for include the Phoenix Coyotes, Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Jackets.

In his spare time, David is a volunteer firefighter (Deputy Chief) and certified First Responder with the East Wellington Fire Department. David currently lives in Nanaimo, BC, with his wife, April, and their 4 children.

My work in a family-owned funeral home — combined with my MBBA training in bereavement-sector management — gives me a well-rounded understanding of both the care-focused and administrative sides of the profession. This blend allows me to guide executors and families through complex decisions with clarity, calm, and confidence.

In my day-to-day role, I support at-need and pre-need families, assist with documentation and coordination, and help ensure seamless preparation, transfer, and service workflows. These experiences give me a front-line perspective on the challenges executors face, the timelines they must meet, and the information they often lack.
