I have been an advisor in the financial Service industry since 1997. I am a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) and Certified Executors Advisor (CEA).
My firm, To Educate And Mentor Financial Solutions, or T.E.A.M. Financial Solutions, has a mission to educate and mentor clients through the ever changing world of financial planning concepts and solutions. At T.E.A.M. Financial Solutions, our goal is to balance our client’s need for education on financial planning without losing focus on the objective of providing the right financial solutions to help them achieve lifetime financial security. With clients I focus on breaking down the sometimes complex issues in a manner that people can better understand. I believe that education is the key to success.
My main business focus is Estate and Financial planning, that is my specialty. Delivering these financial concepts in a seminar format has proven very successful. Although I have been providing financial advice since 1997, I've been presenting to groups and educating since 1992.
Outside of the office, I am very active with the Kin Club of Woolwich which my wife, Brenda and I chartered in 2010. I currently hold the role of 2nd VP and I am also the Chairman of the Pamper Yourself for a Year Raffle that raises money for local Educational, sporting teams and Charities. I sit on the Grand River Amazing Race planning committee and serve as the sponsorship Coordinator and Marketing Director. I enjoy camping with my family and can be found exploring Ontario most weekends or at a ball diamond coaching Girls minor Softball for the Waterloo Ghosts. In the winter, I can be found in a hockey arena with one of my two children, Brandon or Maddy.
I have been a member of Advocis (The Financial Advisors Association of Canada) for 40 years. When I was a trust officer in the 1980s, I took tax and estate administration courses offered by the Trust Company Institute to get my MTI designation. I have also taken Knowledge Bureau courses on preparing tax returns for deceased persons and estates, that led to my DFA designation. I am a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Life Underwriter.
I have been in the financial services industry since 1992 and a Certified Financial Planner®
professional since 1998. Although I have worked in the industry through various
mutual fund dealerships I joined Sterling Mutuals Inc. because of the
independence that is offered through this type of dealership.
I operate as a "FEE-ONLY" Financial Planner and do not earn a commission on the sale of a financial product. I can be engaged to provide financial planning services ranging from one time consultations or on-going service relationships. Visit my website at www.gregormcdonald.com and email me at email@example.com to arrange a meeting.
My name is Rachel McDonald, President & Owner of McDonald Estate Services Ltd. I began my career in estate administration working with my father who practised law for over 50 years! Although my Law Clerk Certification provided a great basis for estate administration, the lessons learned through processing thousands of Probate/Certificate of Appointment applications, or acting as a professional Executor, have been invaluable. With over ten years of experience in this field, I have not only honed my practical skills to work efficiently, but also the communication skills necessary to deal with the sensitive and confidential matters relating to estates. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and using my expertise to help them navigate through this difficult process.

I think that my abilities and knowledge is unique in that I will be 77 in March of 2021 and don't believe that I am nor do I feel age 77.. I haven't yet met another advisor in my age group. Most of my contacts think I'm crazy........ however, I have and am still absolutely enjoying every day in this business. In many cases I'm thrilled to be able to assist a client with knowledge that I've absorbed over the years. In most cases they trust me and pleased to be able to learn from my experiences. I have vowed to my contacts and friends in the business that if I ever make a mistake, I will retire immediately.
I have 5 grandchildren that I can very easily annoy!!!
Please feel welcome to contact me at any day or time if you have questions and think I could be of assistance.

Early in my career as a financial security advisor, I
learned a very valuable lesson; the work I do when one of my clients passes
away is some of the most important work that I can do.
Becoming a CEA has increased the support I can offer my
clients. My ideal client wants to make the executor’s job as easy as
possible. They understand by reviewing what they want to happen when
they die will help their executor perform their required duties. Being an
executor is a job no one wants; a friend or loved one must pass away for it to
start. There is no training for the role and often minimal support. My process
helps the client identify ways to make the executor’s job easier. We also
involve the future executor to help them prepare and understand the magnitude
of their role.
I am a real estate appraiser preparing appraisals for many purposes such as estate settling, divorce, government seizures, relocations, capital gains, dispute resolutions, presale consultations, MPAC challenges, Power of Sale and financial mortgaging. I have been in the Financial Services Industry holding various positions since 1974, and bring a broad range of experience to the table.
