Growing up in a very modest childhood taught me the value of managing finances responsibly and how simple decisions can have a compounding effect in life. Though people are very different in their backgrounds and experiences, many of the decisions we make everyday are based on financial knowledge from countless sources that may not be fully relevant to our situation. The more I've come to understand the complexities involved in responsibly managing one's finances, the more I realize how vital it is to have personalized help and guidance.

Prior to joining Edward Jones, I spent six years in banking, helping individuals at different stages in their life, from people just starting out in the workforce to the complex needs of business owners running larger companies. A graduate from the Okanagan School of Business with a BBA degree majoring in finance, Jay started his career at a major bank but soon joined Raymond James in 2005 and has over 15 years of experience in finance. Jay has also earned the prestigious Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Fellow of CSI (FCSI®) designations.

Jay is an avid cyclist who combines his passion for cycling and philanthropy by participating in a number of fundraising events each year. Most notably is the Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation where Jay’s efforts caught the attention of Global News Okanagan and the Kelowna Daily Courier.
When Jay is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Brianne, daughter Charley and son Tucker. When he isn’t biking Jay enjoys boating, camping, snowboarding and taking advantage of all the Okanagan has to offer.
